A, B, C, D, buttons on ignite remote

I noticed that the A, B, C, buttons are shortcuts to help menu, accessibility and sports app while D doesn't seem to be associated with anything.  My question is: is there a way to program different things for those shortcuts?  Right now I find those buttons useless but if I could link my most used functions, it would be great.

D is used when in recordings, press D to delete the selected recording. as opposed to selecting the X to the right os the recording.

And also to delete scheduled shows. Same idea as above.

The "D" button is used for Delete actions.  When viewing your list of recordings, press "D" to delete the highlighted recording.  Press the Last (left arrow) button to display your last-watched history; press "D" to clear history.

This is not possible.  The programmability of this remote is very limited.
