Will Rogers support RCS enhanced Messaging?

I see that google has finally launched RCS messaging with Sprint in the United States. Is Rogers committed to supporting RCS? Is there a timeline for its rollout?

Has this rolled out to anyone yet? I haven't seen any updates come to Messenger yet, and I thought this would be enabled after an update from Google.

With RCS now supported by Rogers for a week or two now, I've been using Google Messenger ever since. However, I still haven't gotten the prompt to activate it and consequently can't use Enahnced Messaging. 

Does anybody know if I can enable it somehow?

Me too, im desperately waiting for RCS to be enabled so I can use all of the features of Google Messenger like sending text messages over Wi-Fi, message typing indicators, group messaging, etc

I've been told RCS will go live for everyone by Jan 31 so long as you use Google's messenger.

All new Android devices will come with it preloaded and enabled.

No. Rogers only advertises these things to attract customers without actually delivering the product.

I worked with tech support to have mine enabled. In the end it took a factory reset of my phone. I have a Google Pixel. As soon as I updated the app went it and got the prompt to enable. No one I know is using it though so haven't been able to use the features. I will be a bit before everyone is updated to use this. A lot of people are using the various manufacturers SMS app so that is why. Going forward phones sold will have it preintalled.

Or if I do a factory reset it should work?

I would contact Tech support like Brentblue22 did and see what they can do and hopefully enable it for u!

I think you should get the pop-up after the factory reset and you will have to update Google messenger to get pop-up
