Trying to cancel my account

I've been around

I have already spent 2 hours waiting on the phone for a representative two days ago.  The first gentleman didn't know how to cancel an account.  The second gentleman assured me that the account would be cancelled the next day (yesterday) but his system wasn't working so he made a note to remind himself.  I was supposed to receive an e-mail to confirm this yesterday.  Nothing came.  Today I have spent another hour waiting to chat with someone.  Is there anybody who can cancel my account?

I've been here awhile

I have also been unable to cancel my account. I have been on hold for over an hour, also tried yesterday but had to hang up before anyone answered. have been waiting on the chat for over an hour and am 8th in line. It feels like it should be illegal to make it this impossible to cancel a service!

Although we would like to better understand what led you to this decision I understand you've both already started the process and will be happy to provide you with the best contact to reach our customer relations department.

You can reach them by dialing 1-888-ROGERS1(764-3771) or by dialing *611 from your Rogers phone. Confirm your account by pressing 1, then select 4 for "Account changes", and then 5 to "Cancel a service".

You can also contact them via Live chat through this link https://www.rogers.com/contact/general-inquiries/tv and specify that you wish to cancel your account to Anna so she can forward you to the proper department.

can you make calls to canada? if so give them a call,  otherwise maybe wait until you get back to your home country of canada to call and cancel?

you are not alone! I have been trying to cancel my account for one week now and have been more than patient with Rogers but they are not escalating my concern at all. I keep on getting redirected and told a case has been open for me and to take 2 days for a response by email. It has been 3 days and no email notification... they ended up sending a modem to my house when I wasn't home....I was told that if the delivery happened I would just simply not accept the modem but since I wasn't home I was not able to do that and they left it in front of my house with no signature!

 

To anyone reading this please DO NOT sign up with Rogers, their customer service is horrendous. what a bunch of scammers

In having the same problem. No one seems to know how to cancel my services. They told me ihave to go to the store to do it. I'm so fedup of rogers.!!!!!!!+ this is the worst phone company in canada!!!

I've been here awhile

I called *611 from my Rogers phone and tried to cancel my phone service on July 21st. They told me they would cancel it for that billing cycle, but I still received my bill for August. I am in another country now and will not return to Canada. Can someone help me with that?

Yes, I received my bill on my next regular billing date and paid it on Jul 29th, but I still received another bill after that regular billing date for all the August which should be cancelled. I still can see my account is not cancelled and is in the next billing cycle for September from MyRogers APP. Here is my interaction ID #I2257372573 for that cancellation service. I can't pay for any of those bills and call rogers since I am not in Canada and will not return.
