Transferring family plan number to my account

MarcusT
I've been around
To whom may read this,

I recently joined Rogers. My partner is in a family plan on Freedom Mobile. She is not the main account holder. I want to transfer her number to add to my line, without affecting the other family plan users (the ones on Freedom Mobile). Is this possible? Or will she need a new (Rogers based) number when entering my line?

Thank you so much!!

You can also try to avoid possible problems by having your partner ask the Account holder to see if she can break off her line from the main account holder first, so she will have an independant account, then once her account is independent on freedom, you can call rogers and have them open a second number on your existing account, then port in her number to it, so it would cancel her independant line on freedom without impacting her family's account.

There shouldn't be any issues porting hernnimver from Freedom to your Rogers account. However, it might impact the family plan the rest are on. The family planight be based on a certain number of lines minimum as an example. Usually the account holder's permission is required for a line to be ported away from the service it is currently on.
