I ported my # from Bell yesterday. Rogers game me a temporary #. That temporary # is messing with my text messages. They are coming up as a new # and in green when I text people. It comes up as “maybe ((me))” and a new chat starts. When I go on the mobile ap both #’s on my account are showing the temp#’s and not my ported #.

Is the port in of your Bell number successfully completed on your temporary line, at this time?
We know how frustrating it can be to encounter issues with your phone, following a SIM card swap.
The first thing to do is to restart your iPhone. Once your phone comes back on, try to message one of your contact that is using iMessage.
If this method doesn’t work, follow the instructions below:
1. Go to Settings > Messages and turn off iMessage.
2. Restart your device:
3. Turn iMessage back on.
