This morning, I received a call about with an offer for 2Gbit internet. I am alreafy an internet customer that has the 1.5Gbit service. This call really disappointed me because the person calling knew so little about the service they were trying to sell me on, that it made me say no without hesitation.
The rep knew absolutely nothing beyond the price being offered, the down and up speeds, and the modem needed for the service. That really wasn't enough! I currently have the XB8 and it only has one port capable of the speed of the plan I currently have. I have one desktop that has a 2.5Gbit ethernet adapter and one desktop that has a 5Gbit ethernet adapter. Both of these desktops are used for wired gaming. The rep had absolutely no clue about the capabilities of the modem, how many ports it had, the speed of those ports, WiFi capabilities, and so on. Is it really too much to expect that when you call and waste my time with a lame duck offer for a supposedly better service, that you actually know enough about it to answer a customer's questions?!?
DO BETTER, please!

Good afternoon @LordDrakkon!
Thank you for your feedback here. Many of our agents have been cross trained on both sales and technical support already. I am sorry if the agent you spoke with was unable to answer your questions but I would be happy to provide clarity.
For your own information, the XB8 is currently our best available modem and you would keep the XB8 if you were to accept the faster package that was offered to you.
Our sales teams have access to the modem specifications and package details but technical knowledge is not their realm of expertise. If you have technical questions or concerns, it is best to ask those of our technical support teams or to ask here on our forums where agents such as myself can provide clarity.
