Could it have been the additional $5 discount the agent who offered you the plan might have been referring to?

You can still take advantage of the Automatic Payments Discount at any time if you’re on an eligible wireless plan. Simply set up automatic payments on your account and the discount will be added to your account, on the following invoice.
