I have been back and forth with Roger’s, I have a plan that is extremely expensive all though they do offer cheaper plans you are not allowed to downgrade!?! I have been with Roger’s for 20+ years and get told that while I am valued it’s only for new customers.
When they say you are valued it’s a joke! There’s no loyalty to long time customers

Welcome to every other cellphone company in the world, This is unfortunately how they operate they lure you in with attractive new customer pricing, but once your a customer, you should be "happy" with their service, you should also be "happy" to pay for in-market pricing.
You can always ask to speak to the Cancellation / Loyalty department and tell them you are not happy, they might have some special plans or offers for loyal customers or customers who are thinking about cancelling.

@Bratbratty84 : It's the same for everyone. You may contact other providers, find out what they will offer you and then contact the retentions department at Rogers to see if they'll match or come close.
If you're interested in learning how corporations work, watch the documentary "The Corporation" and the follow up doc if you wish. Although the doc is a bit over the top, it is instructive in how it shows how many corporations now function.
