I'm here to explain about a unsatisfying & sad experience with Rogers internet!
I recently got a Roger's internet connection for my home as my previous provider, Virgin, was pricier than what Rogers was offering me. On my first bill, I was shocked to see $110 charged for Pro install Add-on (which I didn't sign up for). As I wasn't sure what it was, I reached out to the customer care to confirm. The customer service rep informed me that this was the installation charges if its been setup by a technician.
About a month ago, I received a call from a sales person from Rogers regarding an offer on internet services. During my call with her, she explained me about the plan and credits I'd receive, but she did not mention about the installation charges if done by a technician. She also didn't receive my consent by reading out the agreement for the installation charges as this needs to be done mandatorily by all sales person before closing the sale. Coming to today's call, the customer service representative didn't help me out in this situation as this was clearly a mistake on the sales person's end. I also requested her to ask the manager to provide a credit for $110+tax, but she mentioned the manager couldn't help me in this situation either. Lastly, she mentioned that she will arrange a callback with the manager in the next 48 hours. Being a loyal customer with Rogers (Phone plus internet) for more than a year, I feel very unsatisfied with the way the customer service was provided in this situation and I feel I would have a tough time battling any hidden charges on my bill, even though it wasn't my mistake. Below are the details of the custom service representative and incident number below:
Kindly help me resolve this issue quickly as possible.

Sales reps can get into trouble for failing to mention this. They should know that the calls are recorded. The managers can easily go in and listen to the call and confirm that this was not mentioned. As for the sales rep, they should be disciplined for not following their job guidelines. More people should complain when this happens, otherwise they will get away with it.
