I cancelled a rogers internet account earlier this year. I signed up through an offer from FB marketplace around Feb 2022 and cancelled around Feb 2024. When I cancelled no one told me of any ECF fee, or that it was a small business account. When I signed up no one said there was a contract. But I received a bill for over $400, which is insane since I had the internet for 2 years and the claim was I was in a 24 month contract for a small buisness account. Again, never agreed to any contract, small business account or anything. My account history is only showing 1 year but I had the account since 2022 Feb!! I opened a case with Better Business Bureau but could not get a hold of anyone. Now I am getting letter and phone calls from collections. I have been a customer since 2019, use rogers wireless, fido wireless and home internet and banking and this is how I am being treated? I called many times and keep getting the run around from different numbers and agents telling me to contact someone else. I don't know what else to do at this point. I just wanted to toss in the towel but now this collections letter has me stressed. What do I do?
