Pairing RCA RT2480 TV to Chanmpion Remote

Good afternoon: I spent a lot of time yesterday attemp;ting to pair the above devices; I looked at the documentation and according to my understanding the universal code for RCA RT2480 is 1547. I have inputted this code into remote but the TV set does not turn as the documentation indicates when the correct code is found.

Can anyone provide any information to resolve this situation

Although 1547 is the first code in the Champion list, it is not necessarily the one that will work for your TV.  Here's the pdf for the remote. Try the next codes in the list for RCA TVs until you find a code that works.  Try 0047 or 1447...
