Pair WiFi Garage Door Opener with Smart Home Monitoring

Hi all I was wondering if I buy a garage door controller from amazo would I be able to hook it up to my rogers smart home using the add device in settings?
The garage door controller says it works with Google home

Welcome to the Rogers Community Forums!

I can understand how convenient it would be to control your garage door opener using the Smart Home Monitoring system.

The Google Assistant is no longer supported by the Smart Home Monitoring system. If you already have it set up it will still work but you may not be able to add more devices. We currently do not have a garage door opener option.

This is a great suggestion. We appreciate your feedback.

So basically you are saying that SHM is a stand-alone product that doesn't integrate with other applications and is useless for home automation projects
