The 5G standalone network has its own network. This service will help bring advanced wireless capabilities including ultra-low latency data transmission, network slicing and mobile edge computing.
5G+ (or 3500 MHz spectrum) is the latest network technology that'll improve the existing Rogers 5G network. It'll help deliver a better combination of speed, capacity and coverage. We anticipate it to offer up to 50% more network capacity. Think of it as more lanes on a highway to be able to handle more traffic.
If you are in a 5G or 5G+ coverage area with a Rogers Infinite plan, compatible device and SIM card, your phone will automatically connect to the network. Select devices will display a 5G or 5G+ network icon if they are inside a 5G/5G+ coverage area and have met all requirement for 5G/5G+ (compatible device, plan and SIM). You can find out if your device has 5G+ capabilities in the device specifications.
The access to the network is not limited to the type of device, in this case iPhones, but to its compatibility with the 3500 MHz spectrum. The device must support the n78 band to access 5G+. Find more information here.

It is up to the device manufacturer to release an update bringing SA 5G compatibility to the device for each carriers network. I can get 5G SA on my T-Mobile USA purchased s23 Ultra using my Rogers SIM, if I am in an area where that is supported, like here in parts of Toronto. Rogers does limit some devices from accessing certain features on the network but those devices are usually devices not sold in Canada, the US, the UK, and EU. What criteria has to be met for a device to be blocked from certain features, I am not entirely sure of, but as an example, some OnePlus devices have made it on to this list for some reason. Rogers is much more relaxed on what devices can use features like VoLTE, VoNR, and WiFi Calling on their network compared to Bell and Telus.

I hope everyone is doing well and safely.
The new 5G Standalone network was compatible with Pixel devices when Rogers first introduced 5G Standalone use back in 2022. I want to know whether Rogers has added any more devices to the Rogers 5G Standalone network. Not talking about NSA or 3500 just talking about SA.

iPhones have supported SA since iPhone 13 (well 12, but that doesn't count because no carrier aggregation). T-Mobile have had it rolled out for over a year, and Telus just launched SA with the iPhone 15 launch.
Definitely not an Apple problem.
I can easily check the field test mode to check which band and 5G deployment mode my phone has... and generally when SA is rolled out on the iPhone (true for T-mobile and Telus) there is an opportunity to opt out.

You're right that TELUS released 5G Standalone, but it was also available for the iPhone 14 series. Before ROGERS SA was turned off, I seem to recall connecting to 5G Standalone back in 2022.
Here's the Proof:
Rogers website for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 14 it shows 5G Standalone Enabled yes.

In my last message, I mentioned that I used to connect onto 5G Standalone evidence here. Apple has had SA for a long time, and since I reside in Brampton, it was supposed to be 5G Standalone and Rogers say 5G Standalone is capable on there network but it's disabled:

I dug into this a bit and based on my findings, as long as you meet the following requirements, you should have access to 5G+ (3500 MHz spectrum) while on the Rogers network:
- 5G-ready device that supports the n78 5G band
- 5G multi-SIM
- 5G+ 3500 MHz coverage
- a Rogers Infinite plan that comes with 5G access
It doesn't mention that the access is only available to specific phone types.

I brought the S22 in Canada but, I flashed the US Firmware and enabled all the Standalone Bands. Went to Union in Toronto and not getting any 5G Standalone. Do you have specific areas where I can test?

Here is proof of it not connectining:
Rogers 5G SA not connecting- (keep personal infor private, email address present)
I went everywhere in the Downtown Core and didn't get SA.

@LordDrakkon Hey there. Quick question, do you know specific areas where you connected to 5G Standalone? I went to Union, Dundas and I haven't connected to 5G Standalone at all.
