Hi Rogers friends.
I need to EDIT a device name in Ignite Home Connect. Going into WIFI in the app, scrolling down to the current Device Name (that the installation tech mislabeled yesterday), I click on the device name > that I need to change where I then see the device details. I see no sign of of an 'Edit' as noted in other posts I've read.
TIA, Cindy

The name can be changed on the Rogers Wi-Fi app on the phone. However, the name is not reflected on 10.0.0.1, on that site there is no option the change the device name. I also want change the name of each Rogers box and told I need to change the name of the box in the TV settings. Currently they are renamed on the Wi-Fi app but on 10.0.0.1 shows as MAC address.

Device management on the Gateway's local web management UI is deprecated and kinda broken. The only thing that you can do in "Connected Devices > Devices > Edit Device" is associate a Reserved IP address with a MAC address. You cannot even delete devices from that list anymore.
Now all device management on the Gateway is done through the Rogers Xfinity mobile app.

Gateway's local web management UI may be depreciated but it is still a valid and true list of active and connected devices on the home network. I can't say the same about he Xfinity App WiFi list.
