So now I can’t use the Home Connect App because it requires updating. Updating requires IOS16 and my perfectly functioning Air Pad 2 can only be updated to IOS 15.8. So I need to get a new IPad after paying dearly for the Ignite internet, home phone and TV service. This is beyond comprehension, that developers and their corporate bosses think that every one is capable to constantly upgrade their equipment.
Thus needs to be fixed. There are seniors unable to afford constant upgrades to their equipment.
A response and fix from Rogers would be appreciated.

Hello, @BD100.
We appreciate you joining our Community and sharing your concerns about the requirements of the Ignite HomeConnect app.
The app requirements change with continuous app enhancements and the release of new Operating Systems. With the current app features, it's backwards compatible until iOS 16.
We are committed to making the app available to the broadest possible devices, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We appreciate your understanding.
Regards,
RogersMoin

Was told by the app to update to the new Rogers xfinity app, but all it did was send me back to the home connect app when I tapped the update icon. Found out it now only runs on IOS 16 or higher so I’m locked out of controlling my internet unless I get a new phone. Just thought people should know.

Ignite home connect web portal 502 bad gateway?
A week ago I attempted to update my home connect app only to have it just go into an update loop. I later found out it is because Rogers no longer supports any iOS below 16. I recently got a message from Rogers asking if I could go through the web portal at ignitewifi.rogers.com. Hoping I could use that rather than the app I typed it in only for it to lead to a blank page telling me 502 bad gateway or using another browser it sent me to a page asking me to download the app which I can’t (the page needs to be updated as it still says iOS 15 is still supported) so is there a web portal version of the app or was I given incorrect information?

Greetings @Dire!
Have a look at this thread for a workaround if you do not have app access: Ignite Router Admin portal - Rogers Community
