3rd Party Apps updates + Features Missing (Apple TV+, Disney+, Netflix etc.)

Hi.

How often are the 3rd party apps (e.g. Apple TV+, Disney+, Netflix etc.) updated, compared with the apps available to download on an Android TV box (I own both an Google TV and an NVidia Shield)?

e.g. When Using the Apple TV+ app via Rogers Ignite, if I pause a show halfway and exit the app, the next time I enter the app, I have to restart from the beginning !!! Plus the “My Library” section is missing. On the Android version, I can continue a show from where I left off, and in the “My Library” section, I can see my previous purchases.

e.g. The Disney+ app has been promoting their 100th anniversary recently every time I open the app on my Android devices; this is not the case with the Disney+ app accessible from Roger’s Ignite.

The X1 apps get updated on a fairly regular basis by the vendors but we don't get any notification of those updates; they just happen.  The app developers also develop their apps specific to the X1 platform, so the may function slightly differently from their iOS/tvOS and Android/Android TV counterparts.  There may also be a slight lag until the latest version of an app becomes available to us since (as far as I know) the apps for the major streaming platforms usually get submitted to Comcast first, then Rogers makes them available to us.

Hi.

Can someone tell me how to fix this problem please?

When watching Apple TV+ on an android box, if I pause a program and exit the app, I can continue where I left off the next time I enter the app ... standard functionality of all streaming apps.

Not so with the Apple TV+ app on Rogers Ignite. If I leave a program and exit the app, the next time I enter the app on Ignite, I have to restart FROM THE BEGINNING !!! In my case, I have to remember where I left off and Fast Forward to where I left off. Kind of a nuisance with longer movies.

Oddly enough, if I start a program on Apple TV+ on an Android TV device and pause, I can continue where I left off if I then login to Apple TV+ on Rogers Ignite.

Anyone experiencing this, and any workarounds please?

I've been around
I have also noticed the Library option is missing so that means any purchases are not viewable via AppleTV+ on a Rogers Ignite service. Seem like a big part is missing here. Guess Roger’s doesn’t want you watching movies you have purchased (or probably purchase new one from Apple. They would rather you purchase from them.
