I have a new Gateway (Gen2) wifi router. The wifi is working fine but nothing on the wired network is connected. To try to isolate the problem, I have disconnected everything except for one printer. I have restarted the printer, the router and my computer. I have replaced the ethernet cable and now have it connected the printer directly to the router. Even this does not work. It worked on the old router and have not changed any of the settings on the printer. The light by the ethernet port is solid yellow (not green). Is the problem with the router or is it something else?

The printer was on IP address static mode. Switching to automatic did the trick. Thanks.

@awd2 keep in mind that the modem LAN address may have changed, depending on whether or not your old modem was a Hitron modem. The Hitron modems used 192.168.0.1 as the base LAN address with the address range of 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.254. The XBx modem use 10.0.0.1 as the base LAN address, with an address range of 10.0.0.2 to 10.0.0.254 (?). The ethernet devices should be set for AUTO, that is, the device should automatically accept the address given to them by the modem after a device restart or reboot. It might be an idea to check the devices for hardset addresses which would be applicable for a Hitron (?) modem, but not for the XBx modems.
If you log into the modem via wifi, and go to Gateway ... At a Glance, you should be able to see if the modems show the connected ethernet devices, and if so, what the LAN IP addresses might be.
At the end of the day, its always possible that the modem's Ethernet Port Controller might be unserviceable. With a connected device, you should see the device LAN port LEDs lit, indicating a 1 Gb/s connected data rate, or possibly higher if you're pc has a multi-gig ethernet port which supports 2.5 Gb/s. If you don't see any port LEDs lit on the connected device, my conclusion would be that the modem's Port Controller has failed.
Edit: Can you access the printer settings via a front LED panel? If so, try that to determine what the current LAN IP address happens to be. It should be within the IP address range expected for the XBx modems. If it isn't, clear the IP address, make sure that the printer address is set for Auto (DHCP) and then restart the printer. It should automatically be assigned an appropriate address by the modem. The next question is whether or not you can access the printer via wifi, if that is what you're attempting to do.
