Just looking to see if anyone has experienced anything similar:
About 4 months ago noticed that a couple of time a day my xfinity modem would drop its connection to the rogers network. Nothing too disruptive but noticeable.
About 4 weeks ago, it started to occur more frequently so I called rogers. They sent out a tech would found some bad components on the pole outside and replaced them - said everthing would be fine.
Everything was for about a week and then it started dropping again and started to do it more often.
2 weeks ago, called rogers again, and they sent out a tech and he reviewed everything and then swapped out the modem and installed pods.
Everything was good for a day, and then it started to drop again, but this time much more frequently. Sometimes it will be dropping and re-establishing the wan connection constantly and one time the network was unusable for about 2 hours.
Calling Rogers again but curious to know if anyone has seen this before!

Hello @jjwatson ,
Thanks for being a part of our community and for sharing your recent experience. I'm sorry to hear about the sporadic issue you've been seeing with regards to your internet connection. It's odd that it keeps coming back. Since adding your post, has the situation improved?
If not, I would start by checking all connections going to and from your modem to ensure they are tight and secure. If you are using any third party equipment, maybe try removing them from the equation to see if your service stabilizes. It may also help to do a modem reboot.
If after completing the above preliminary checks, the issue persists, kindly send us a Private Message @CommunityHelps so we can take another look into it for you. For more information on how our Private Messaging system works, please check out our blog.
Kind regards,
