Hey everyone,
So out of nowhere tonight, got hit with some massive download speed & latency issues.
If the connection is barely used, latency to google dns, for example, hovers around 40-45 ms.
As soon as I start using the connection, with a speedtest or the like, the latency shoots up to 1000 ms and + . (Up to 1800 ms.)
Also, since I'm on the gigabit package, download speeds easily usually com in at 850 Mbps. and more. (Quite consistently 920-940.) Since a bit earlier tonight, can't hit more than 200 Mbps.
I've factory reset my modem, did a 5 minute power pull, and all your usual tests with my PC directly connected. ( I work as an I.T. Analyst by trade.)
Signal levels on the downstream are as follows;

I feel like that channel 33 0.5dBmV is out of whack. Could this be part of the cause?
Upstream is behaving normally and not affecting latency.
Thanks!

Hello, @dustinlavigne.
Thank you for posting your concern, and welcome to our Community. Latency and slow speed can surely disrupt your Internet experience.
I appreciate the troubleshooting you have done so far and posting the downstream signal levels. We'd like to run a few tests to determine the root cause of the issue. Please send us a private message at @CommunityHelps. You can find details about our private messaging in this blog.
Cheers,

Hi @RogersMoin ,
Thanks for reaching out. It was, after all, probably just a temporary issue with the local segment.
When I awoke the next morning, the issue was gone.
Thanks again for offering to help.
