Lost internet connection from 9:30am to about 11am. Unstable, modem flashing orange for a while. As of 1pm seems to have stabilized but have to hold meetings on cell phone connection. Don't trust it.
Does anyone know if there was service happening anywhere in Richmond Hill today?

I spoke to tech support at around 10am that day. They confirmed other modems were not recieving signals. She could not confirm if maitenance was occuring, and suspected it was a technical problem. I swtiched abck to internate at 1pm and it seemed to be stable, but have service interruptions between 9:30am and noon that day about every 30m where connections would be lost.

I am sorry to hear that you experienced some connections issues recently. A flashing amber light does typically indicate that your modem is having difficulties receiving a signal. Have you had any further issues since? Please let us know.
