I shouldn't have to drill through my walls to get the internet service back up to what I have now. Rogers at the very least will need to provide a wireless node with wired Ethernet outbound connectors for the PCs and VOIP in my study that does not degrade the service. Our building's contract with Rogers specifies there is to be no degradation of service if equipment changes are made.

Good morning @DevonK,
I understand that some of our customers have very specific needs when it comes to the location of the modem. Were you home when this installation took place? When our technicians are installing services in your home, you can ask them to install the modem wherever you like. Our technicians may make recommendations but it is ultimately your decision where we install the service.
While we can provide Xfinity WiFi Boost Pods: Easy Setup Guide – Rogers Xfinity WiFi Boost Pods - Rogers they are limited in their speed capacity and if you're running highly demanding simulations, these pods may not be ideal for your needs.
If you wish to move the modem, there may be a $50 fee involved and drilling may be required in order to get the fibre line where it needs to go in order for us to install the modem where you want it.
As at @Pauly mentioned, the best solution may be for you or a privately hired contractor to run Ethernet to where you want it in your condo. We do not provide direct support for the installation of Ethernet ports, nor do we fish Ethernet through the walls.
Should you wish to proceed with moving the modem, please feel free to send a private message to @CommunityHelps so we can assist you further. For more information on how our Private Messaging system works, you can find out more here.
Regards,
RogersCorey

@DevonK In a condo, it's typical for the fibre termination to be placed in your unit's telco closet. If there is conduit leading to your wall plates, your building management team may allow you to select another location for the demarc, or you can extend the demarc at your own expense. However, if your unit's construction does not allow for easy installation at a desired location or if the installation crew were given specific directions by your building management team, you are stuck and should contact your building management to work out a solution.
