@Vineelkumar It is technically possible (and fairly easy) to disable Wi-Fi 6 on an XB7 gateway; you do this by changing the "Mode" setting on the 5 GHz radio from "802.11 a/n/ac/ax" to "802.11 a/n/ac". If you are locked out of making this change yourself, tech support should be able to do it for you.
With an XB8 gateway, which has more complete Wi-Fi 6 support and Wi-Fi 6E support, this is a bit trickier. You need to make sure that the "Security Mode" on all radios is set to "WPA2-PSK (AES), change the "Mode" on the 5 GHz radio to "802.11 a/n/ac", and the 6 GHz (Wi-Fi 6E) radio should be disabled. Again, most of these settings are probably disabled and greyed out, so tech support will need to do this for you.
If you would rather not call tech support, you can also try sending a private message to @CommunityHelps and ask them to make these configuration changes for you.

@Vineelkumar Another thing that you can try (if you just want to do a quick test) is to disable the 5 GHz radio on the XB7. This is not a long-term solution but you can at least see if your roommate's Wi-Fi connectivity stabilizes in this configuration. If that works, another option would be to assign different network names to the 2.4 and 5 GHz networks. You can then keep Wi-Fi 6 enabled and connect any problematic devices to the 2.4 GHz band.

Greetings @Vineelkumar!
Our modems are backwards compatible with previous WiFi technologies so you shouldn't need to disable WiFi 6. This is definitely an issue that Samsung needs to issue a fix for.
If you wouldn't mind PMing us, I can attempt to disable it for you! Feel free to send a private message to @CommunityHelps so we can assist you further. For more information on how our Private Messaging system works, you can find out more here.

Its Not Rogers Wifi issue, It is definitely Samsung issue only. As a workaround for samsung issue, they suggested to use Wifi below Wifi 6. I was able to login to Rogers wifi, but unable to disable Wifi6 option, it says contact support. One technician said he will call back and help with it, i will update you more on this one soon.
Thanks for your reply.

I tried to disable wifi6 but all fields were greyed out and I could not change them.
So how can I modify wifi5 setting?

Hello, @Reezario
Welcome to the Rogers Community Forums!
Thank you for posting your inquiry. There does not appear to be a way to disable the Wi-Fi 6 functionality on our Gateway modems.
I know this may not be the answer you were hoping to hear.

There is but, it is locked and greyed out by rogers. So, it needs some permission or something to be able to change it

The issues with the s23 Ultra was only with WiFi 6e, not WiFi 6, and that issue was resolved with an update this week. That issue was only an issue to those on the Android 14 beta beta and was fixed within 3 days.
