Email Down

I've been around

It seems like there a system wide issue with email accounts not working. Why is there no communication from Rogers visa the web site or twitter to let us know what’s going on?

Wait a second, so all this time, the real problem is people are forgetting what is their email password and they can not reset it to something new?   Just add the email password to where you normally keep all your passwords, this is super easy to do. I do this all the time.  then when you forget it just look it up in your file or notebook or where ever you have it stored.

The issue is that the App PW generator has been down for over 2 years as discussed in the following thread, so you cannot get a new one:

Yes, had you saved your App PW, or have access to it in an older Outlook that used the App PW, then you're OK provided you can copy it to the latest non-subscription Outlook.  Some older (non-subscription) versions of Outlook will not work since they don't have the appropriate OAuth, which is a different parallel matter.

The latest subscription Outlook (say MS365) will work without an App PW, just using your normal Webmail PW.  Thunderbird for PC will also work without an App PW.  Based on the latest feedback, Thunderbird for Mac and Mac (Apple) Mail do not work with the Webmail PW and require the App PW. (We haven't really heard any updates on that Mac information in quite a while - I'm guessing because those people have found other ways...)
