I've been around

It seems like there a system wide issue with email accounts not working. Why is there no communication from Rogers visa the web site or twitter to let us know what’s going on?

We have experienced the exact same thing a with our email as others have mentioned. I also feel they may be hacked since there was no warning for a any maintenance update and communication since. I have called twice  and after hours of wait the representative said he has to connect me to the supervisor to reset the password  and he can't.! Then waited on the phone once 2 hours 15 min and another 4hours and30 min and both times they dropped the call! Unbelievable. I have been with them for as so many years.. Time to move for sure , this time!

No email service since Friday.  Tried calling Rogers.  Would be nice if they had an email option. Chose internet option, long wait.  Messaged Rogers help on Twitter.  Still no response.  Terrible customer service. I guess they didn’t learn anything from the last fiasco!

Good luck with that.  I sent them a DM yesterday afternoon & all I got back was an automated response telling me they are very busy but they will respond eventually.  No email since Friday & still waiting. Terrible customer service

Thanks. Actually was able to get it resolved just now through Twitter DM and am now back into my email. Phew. What a relief. It does indeed take a bit of patience.

Hi! So I just went to Twitter and asked for @rogershelps. There are tons of posts with the same problem. All through yesterday I posted and finally this morning someone got back to me. It took another couple hours but I thought it went easier than trying to get through on the phone. Also they ask you to fill out a form on line and they’ll ask for your account number. I had to scramble a bit to find it so best to have it nearby. Good luck.

Just as an FYI, the email issues seems to only affect the Yahoomail login. For those that use Outlook (POP3 or SMTP) it still works.

Just as an FYI, I'm not having any issues logging into Webmail (Rogers/Yahoo e-mail) via a browser (Chrome). All of my e-mail accounts are fine.  I'm also not having any issues with my e-mail clients - Outlook (Mac Mini) or Mail (iPad).  

 

Perhaps it's area specific?  I'm in Toronto near Yonge & Lawrence.

I was in Mexico and trying to change my email password after I got a message saying my account didn’t exist in their records….scary.  But received the same message as everyone « Something went wrong on our side ».

I guess I was lucky as I was able to chat with Technical support and the agent was very helpful and  told me on Saturday March 4 that there was a reset done to EVERYONE’S PASSWORD done by them I guess.  So it is Rogers’ fault. They are apparently overwhelmed to correct this issue and to try today or tomorrow Monday to reset our password.  I did ask her if  Rogers was going to inform us about the situation and apparently yes …but then I lost my thread with her.

Hope my message might help as I was freaking out in Mexico thinking I had been hacked.

Update: stayed up past midnight to call support. Wait was till over 10min—had to select “technical support”, then “internet”. They DONT have “email” option. Took a bit of patience but finally agent able to provide temp password to reset. Then he waited till I changed to new password, retest b4 letting agent hang up. Wished one doesn’t have to stay up SO late to avoid waiting for hours to get support. They need to have a “status” website to keep customers informed.

Thank you for your comment.  However while trying to read my email through my iPhone and iPad, I suddenly couldn’t.  My iPhone wanted me to re-enter my password. So i tried but it brings me to rogersmembercentre.com page and problem!

I’ve had the same issue since Friday. I spoke with a customer representative on Saturday March 4 who told me the password recovery is performing a maintenance and told me to just keep trying to change my password. If in 2-3 days I still can’t change my password to call back. What the what??? Shouldn’t they at least let the news outlets know so customers aren’t pulling their hair out trying to access their email?

This is totally unacceptable service from Rogers! I started a chat inquiry on Saturday at 3:12 pm and got a reply “there may be a bit of a wait until you’re connected with a specialist…”. Well I finally got a text response from them on SUNDAY at 1:47 pm apologizing for the delay!!! Totally unacceptable Rogers!!!

I was on hold for 5.5 hours and transferred 3 times including from live chat and the system hung up on me. this is brutal. this is unacceptable

Waited 30 minutes, but support was able to reset my password.    Database issues at their end.

I am wondering if Rogers has been hacked. This problem started about a week or so for me, with the email continually dropping and having to sign back in.

I haven't been able to access my emails. I am shocked Rogers hasn't put out a notice out on Social to let people know that there is no access. I am sure their customer support would appreciate all knowing instead of them being bombarded with questions and queries as to why we cannot access email.
