Ignite Long Distance

I've decided to switch to ignite but was curious if the included home phone still comes with  unlimited Canadian long distance?

According to the following link, that appears to be $5/mo.  If you're switching to an Ignite Bundle, you can usually negotiate an "overall price" for all of the services of interest to you for TV, Internet, Home Phone, etc.

When we were still with Bell, we used YAK for long distance and because it was pre-paid on credit card I was paying 3.5 cents per minute. Switching to Rogers ignite, my rate is now $.20 per minute unless I buy a package for more long-distance usage.  Rogers took it upon themselves to take control of my long distance calling, taking YAK out of the picture entirely. Trying to get that reinstated they are required to create a new account with Distributel which is their new parent company.

It's odd that Rogers offer Canada – wide long distance at no charge on their mobile plan yet charge $.20 per minute on home phone. As we do not make an awful lot of long-distance calls, I guess we will be making them by mobile. If long-distance was a bigger issue, we might be looking for a completely new plan for TV, phone, Internet. The jury is still out.
