Hey everyone!!

 

I am happy to announce that Samsung this morning announced the Samsung Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge!. Both device's seem to have amazing specs! Including memory SD card slot, water resistant and more!! 

 

 

 

1). Once Rogers has announce when they will add the Samsung Galaxy S7 &S7 Edge to the reservation list & the day comes, sign into your My Rogers account - Product & Services – Wireless & you will see a Red wording saying “Device Reservation" on the main page. Click that & it will take you to the page. Once there you will need to pick which device you want; Samsung S7 Black, S7 Silver or S7 Edge Black. You also need to pick the store you want it to go too. Just to make it clear, reservations are for current Rogers wireless customers which have contracts with them. Rogers will put up the Pre order list for people that want to pre order the phone which have no wireless accounts with Rogers. Also just too add below is the meaning of the statues .

- If your status is "OPEN", your reservation has been made and we are awaiting product from our supplier. At this time you can change your pick-up location, contact email address or cancel your reservation.
- If your status is "CANCELLED", your reservation has been cancelled and your reservation fee will be credited back to your account.
- If your status is "IN PROGRESS", we have begun the shipment process and you will not be able to edit or cancel your reservation any longer. The next email you will get will be the one that confirms shipment to the store you chose.
- If your status is "SHIPPED", your device has left our warehouse and is on its way to the store you chose. Keep in mind that you can NOT reserve a device via calling them. It can ONLY happen if the reservation system is down but they will to reserve it via online. Plus if you reserve it via phone, you will NOT see your status or know what number you are VS reserving it online.


2). Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.


3). Also remember you are going to have to put down a $40 fee to reserve the device. Once it ships out, the $40 fee will be reversed back into your account. IF you want to cancel your reservation, that $40 will also be credit back to you. So either way you will get that $40 back. Also remember you may NOT be the first to get the phone if you have a high number or a low one. The Reservation system is made to have a device reserved for you as the stores will be sold out. If your reservation status still says “ OPEN” after launch & a store has a device in stock, you can still go in the store & get it. Then come back home & cancel the reservation online. If the status is “ IN PROGRESS” & you get a device via a store that have one for u, you have to wait until it ships out & then tell the store that u picked u do not want it. Do reemember the reservation number is CANADA - WIDE. This means if lets say you are #45 in line for the black one, you are #45 for that GB , color & model Canada wide. Also keep in mine you have to be the account holder in order to pick up the device at the store. No one else can. You can try adding a family member as Level on the account but some stores will decline it.

4) .For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues / confusen about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.

 

EDIT - As of tomorrow February 22nd the reservations system will open for us to reserve the device!. There is no time unfortunately.

@Meowmix I got an email saying that they could not process my reservation at the current time because I had to call them to verify something with my account. Apparently my status is "in progress" but no shipping email yet. Not really sure where that leaves me? Very annoyed. But got a $175 credit. But I don't care about the money I just want the phone!

Seriously, ??!!  i Have a reseravation and the store has one in stock and if I take that one I loose the gear VR.  what a stupid system, just need to comment in the system that Im still owed the gear VR and get it later. I am without a phone. I unfortunatley broke my old phone last wednesday, thought oh well Ill just wait till friday,, and reserved my s7Edge. Now its not here and its saturday going on,  a day some time in the future.....  ANd the store close by has them in stock....

Its not a stupid system at all. A pre order bonus is ONLY when u pre order the item and it gets shipped out and you pick it up. Walk in products do not yet this. That's what u need to understand. Also this is Samsung doing this free gift not Rogers and all carriers including Samsung has the same policy. Either you wait for yours and get the Gear VR for free or get the device and don't get it. Not Rogers fault. Also if you picked a Rogers authorized store then that's a reason why it's late. Rogers authorized stores do not get them on after they ship. They are owned by a private company so the devices get shipped to another location and then shipped out again to the stores. This isn't a Rogers fault either. I did make that stamement in my first post as well.

That happens on some business and corporate customers accounts. It's normal. I have seen it in the past making the threads as well. It will take a few more days but if they contacted u, they should have it for u.

I will just chill,  No point in stressing about something I cant change. I will assume I get it in a month. Otherwise the anticipation will kill me! One of the down sides of being a business owner wth Rogers I guess, unfortunately.

I went to Rogers Store to pick up Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge I reserved. I have 3 cell numbers in my 7GB Share Everything +. I pay $85 for first line. My first line is no tab, seoncd line is premium tab and third line is no tab. 

 

I was told by Rogers Store employee that since I am upgrading my first line, I have to switch to another plan since 7GB plan no longer exists. I was told to pay $110 for 5GB or 130 for 9GB. I told Rogers Store employee that I will just pay the full price to purchase the phone and keep the current plan. I was told that Rogers can not sell the phone outright in first 30 days of release. 

 

I waited 40 minutes and I walked out of the store. What a rip off Rogers. What we, Canadians are paying for more to Rogers and get far less value from the service than Americans are getting from their cell phone service are ridiculous. We need more free market competition in wireless industry. 

 

I will never go with Rogers on contract.

It all depends on the location. Store managers can refuse to sell devices outright within 30 days of launch. Some store managers do not care and do it.

That is also correct. The older plans are not eligible for a hardware upgrade so u need a new plan unfortunately.

I would say contact the store manager of the location and see what they can do.

The Rogers Store I went to was 9200 Bathurst Street. 7GB Share Everything + plan was not available on the Rogers website when I called Rogers last October. I called customer service last October and switched to 7GB Share Everyting + offered by Rogers Customer Service. I have been Rogers customer for more than 10 years. I pay at least $165 + tax monthly for my cell phone bill. I will never do hardware upgrade with Rogers again.

So I posted yesterday, about not getting a phone friday, even though I reserved one.  On thursday I was 83rd. This evening I am 78th. In Canada apparently.  SO Rogers or Samsung under provided the s7 EDGE by 80 some odd phones on the reservatiuon system. Today I find out the store near me, a rogers Store, and the local best buy stores are selling the S7 edges and have them in stock. ???  So how screwed up is this. Those who reserve dont get the phone and have to wait, while Joe Bloggins can walk into a store and get one right away??? HMMM something if fishy in Denmark....

I did respond to you but I guess u didnt read it..

Actually Samsung shipped out to Rogers more then 4,000 units. 2,000 units went into the reservation system ans business and corporate customers reservation system. The rest went to the stores and call center. Its up to Samsung how many units they send to the carriers and third party stores aka Best Buy. I work for Best Buy and i can assure you no edge for walk ins have came in and none in Toronto unless someone canceled their pre order. We had a conference call on Friday for that.

So whatever Best Buy you went to, had pre orders but we're canceled so they could allow walk ins to grab it. .

As for Rogers stores I did post that stores will get some units in but it's a handful. Not many.

Also the S7 and S7 edge are in a back order. Samsung Canada confirmed this to us via email they sent us this morning. So it could be due to that why Rogers isn't getting much but don't blame Rogers. They don't manufacture the device. The sell the units they get sent to them.

Just do not get the phone. I was 217th when I reserved the phone on February 21, I received a phone call from Rogers that I can pick up on March 10. I went to Rogers Store to upgrade on March 13. I was told to pay $25 a more per month for 2GB less plan because 7GB Share Everything Plan + I switched to last October is now old plan and new plan requires me to pay more.

Yeah sadly that's true but it seems the carriers are doing that as new plans come out and make the older ones not compatible with the upgrades. The only other solution us buying outright if not at Rogers then at a Samsung Experience store

I just recieved my UPS tracking number this morning!
I was ~#50 for business account, shouldn't take too much longer for people who're within #100.
Also I guess I can't complain too much for store credits now.

@Meowmix i don't have access to it as I'm in transition between residential to business account. Last time I enquired it was so "in progress". But not "in progress-finalization". I also had a delay because my Company code needed to be updated on my account. I clarified that with a rep on Friday evening.

Hi, there, i asked you about this last friday and you said i should just wait for the store to call me... But I just wonder how I could check where I'm at in the process... I can't see the status in online reservation system cuz the following keeps poping up since last friday..  it's pissing me off for not knowing anything cuz no email or any call so far..

is this because im new to rogers... i used koodo before.. so i can't see device reservation in My Rogers, which just keeps telling me to link an account.....10000.png

Have you called in to see if they can fix it or see what's going on? It seems a issue with the account. It could be due to u being new to Rogers but it's best to call in and see
