Hey everyone!!

 

I am happy to announce that Samsung this morning announced the Samsung Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge!. Both device's seem to have amazing specs! Including memory SD card slot, water resistant and more!! 

 

 

 

1). Once Rogers has announce when they will add the Samsung Galaxy S7 &S7 Edge to the reservation list & the day comes, sign into your My Rogers account - Product & Services – Wireless & you will see a Red wording saying “Device Reservation" on the main page. Click that & it will take you to the page. Once there you will need to pick which device you want; Samsung S7 Black, S7 Silver or S7 Edge Black. You also need to pick the store you want it to go too. Just to make it clear, reservations are for current Rogers wireless customers which have contracts with them. Rogers will put up the Pre order list for people that want to pre order the phone which have no wireless accounts with Rogers. Also just too add below is the meaning of the statues .

- If your status is "OPEN", your reservation has been made and we are awaiting product from our supplier. At this time you can change your pick-up location, contact email address or cancel your reservation.
- If your status is "CANCELLED", your reservation has been cancelled and your reservation fee will be credited back to your account.
- If your status is "IN PROGRESS", we have begun the shipment process and you will not be able to edit or cancel your reservation any longer. The next email you will get will be the one that confirms shipment to the store you chose.
- If your status is "SHIPPED", your device has left our warehouse and is on its way to the store you chose. Keep in mind that you can NOT reserve a device via calling them. It can ONLY happen if the reservation system is down but they will to reserve it via online. Plus if you reserve it via phone, you will NOT see your status or know what number you are VS reserving it online.


2). Please keep in mind that if you pick a Rogers Authorized dealership, you may not be able to get the device soon after it ships. This has been the main issue with all the iPhone reservations & most of the other devices which have been on the reservation system. I would suggest you pick a Local Rogers store (Corporate Rogers store or Rogers Plus) to go to get it. When the Rogers warehouse sends it out, the Rogers stores will get them first. Some of the Rogers Authorized dealers have their own warehouse in which the devices will go to. After that there is no tracking until the device ships from that warehouse & goes to the store & they call you. You can also look for your FlexTab aka upgrade fee online via My Rogers or contact Rogers & they will let you know.


3). Also remember you are going to have to put down a $40 fee to reserve the device. Once it ships out, the $40 fee will be reversed back into your account. IF you want to cancel your reservation, that $40 will also be credit back to you. So either way you will get that $40 back. Also remember you may NOT be the first to get the phone if you have a high number or a low one. The Reservation system is made to have a device reserved for you as the stores will be sold out. If your reservation status still says “ OPEN” after launch & a store has a device in stock, you can still go in the store & get it. Then come back home & cancel the reservation online. If the status is “ IN PROGRESS” & you get a device via a store that have one for u, you have to wait until it ships out & then tell the store that u picked u do not want it. Do reemember the reservation number is CANADA - WIDE. This means if lets say you are #45 in line for the black one, you are #45 for that GB , color & model Canada wide. Also keep in mine you have to be the account holder in order to pick up the device at the store. No one else can. You can try adding a family member as Level on the account but some stores will decline it.

4) .For Corporate / Business customers. You guys will have a different line then regular customers do. This means you guys have a few different statutes then regular customers do. Also keep in mind for the past few years there has been issues / confusen about business customers getting the phones via the reservation. You guys will be getting them the day of launch or after depending on your status & what goes on.

 

EDIT - As of tomorrow February 22nd the reservations system will open for us to reserve the device!. There is no time unfortunately.

so i got the e-mail saying my order has been shipped about 1 am this morning.  How long does it take to get a tracking number?

I don't think they offer the tracking number anymore. Your device will be delivered to the store in the AM or afternoon. Wait until around noonish to see.

Who should I call regarding $100 credit on upgrade as per promotiron on website it does say only for purchase and activation - promo - Get up to a $100 credit on the coolest phones!1 ?

 

Called Billing and 2 agents keep talking about getting new line?

I'm a business customer and reserved a S7 a while back. I'm number 21 to be exact. I was wondering if I would be able to walk into a Rogers store and pick up a phone if they have in stock? Would I get the free VR? I remember doing this for my S5 with no issues.

Unfortunately you won't be able to do that. Most Rogers store do not have access o business and corporate customers accounts. Also the free Gear VR is only with reservations but Best Buy is offering it for $49.99 with a S7 if u didn't pre order it.

Mine finally shipped after 3 days of in progress. My e-mail had a tracking number and it's a multi shipment of 15 phones to be delivered today. Unfortunately the destination is a different province so I guess I'll be waiting a little longer... Sadly my S5 bit it so I'm using a real garbage phone right now so it really sucks having to wait up to another week -.-

Does Best Buy even do business upgrades? When I went to Future Shop for my S5 2 years ago, they told me they didn't do business upgrades

I just picked up my Edge and it's amazing.  The great thing is that I have an old, non-Share Everything plan so I bought the phone outright and I still got the VR headset. It wasn't even an issue; they just rung it up like normal.

Turns out having a Share Everything plan is not a requirement for the headset.

I sure hope so...as of now my Rogers store didn't receive their shipments of the day...so I am still in the waiting game...:(

Got my email at midnight last night that it was shipped out. My local store says they receive shipments between noon and 5pm usually. So it better come in today.

Any idea if someone was able to get the $100 bill credit on business/corp plans?

Also: in the business queue, this morning my status changed from "pre fulfillment" to "finalization" whatever that means lol. And I got an email confirming the S7 has been added to my account for $399+tax

so just some perspective for you guys for me my status didn't change from in progress to shipped until 1 am this morning.  My store got the shipment 30 minutes ago so around 12 in the afternoon and they just called me to say I can pick up my phone.

Just went to my local store just to see the plastic demo, wanted to see and feel it in person.. Even being a non functioanl piece of plastic it looks and feels amazing... I can't wait.

 

They got some S7s in apparently but no Edges yet and the traickng number I got was delivered to Regina which I assume is the head office of the resleler and with any luck I'll get it early next week.

 

I'll have to live another weekend with a 3.5" non hd, 128 MB of ram POS that can't even run apps... Oh well.

 

BTW The VR headset deal was for pre-orders it has nothing to do with plans or financing.  You can get that headset deal from Samsung directly if you wanted to buy it outright.

 

I'm just trying to decide if I should pay the extra $5 for a + plan for the credit since I don't use more than like 1.1 GB I'm paying for right now... It wil cost me $36 over the 2 years which isn't a ton of moeny but if I don't use it I'm basically throwing it away...

What position were you in for the business/corp line?
I'm 51/344 currently, and the line doesn't seem to move at all.
Also I asked for the $100 credit earilier through rogers live chat, they said we're not eligible.

So apparently as per the business line the phones aren't expected to get to the customer until after 15 business days!?!?!?! That's crazy..... I'm number 68 for s7 edge and I do NOT want to wait another few weeks.....

I can confirm the $200 in-store credit is real, but only for select customers. Not sure how they figure that out?

 

I just picked up my S7 Edge and was told and shown by the rep, that I was eligible for the $200 in-store credit. Bonus, I didn't have to change my loyalty plan either.

 

Double bonus, I traded in an old S3, until this morning, I was expecting to only get $35 for it. Bus this morning, a new promo on Rogers.com, get a minimum $50 for any trade in. Was a nice surprise. But wait there's more!! While the rep was doing the my trade in, I was eligible for additional offers.

 

That brings me down from $499.99 plus Tax, plus a $20 connection fee (which was also waived). To a wopping grand total of $124.99.

 

Plus I plan to use my Rogers Master Card cash back to help pay for the new phone.

 

Bottom line total out of my pocket, $63 plus Tax.

 

Man I love Rogers!!
