The end of the upfront edge date for my plan is May 13. However, I will be away in another country during that time, so I am planning to return the phone on an earlier date. It says I can upgrade and they will waive the amount left, however I do not plan on upgrading since I already bought an unlocked phone. Also, I am wanting to port out the phone number to Fizz. What are the step-by-step plan so I can transition smoothly without any issues, and what are the costs I should expect if I were to return the phone at an earlier date?

If you wish to return the device early, you'll have to pay off the remaining financed balance with us first. As long as the device is returned in good working condition, the Upfront Edge amount will be reversed automatically.
To port out, contact your new provider directly. They will assist you in the port out process.
