New Rogers mobile promotion not honoured.

Sign up with a telemarketer for a mobile plan of 175GB with Canada and USA roaming included for 40$

When I got my first bill it’s showing $80. And I can get through to Roger’s on the phone.

Anyone else have this issue?

Please take some time and review our knowledge base article about Understanding First Bill Charges - Wireless. It will help you understand why the first bill can be higher than monthly charges.

I would also recommend you to go over the account changes email you would've received. It includes details about any applicable discounts on the line, as well as start and end dates of the offer and the length of the promotion.

Promotional rates can sometimes take a billing cycle to apply to your account. There are usually fees associated with a new service, like a connection fee, SIM fee, etc. Sometimes your first week or two of service is prorated to the nearest billing date. These are the most common reasons I am aware of but there definitely are more.
