Credit Limit back on account after upgrade

Hi there we signed up with Rogers in December and had a credit limit. The credit limit seemed to have been removed based on account activity (paying bills on time) so we both upgraded our phones recently and the credit limit is back on. Can someone please explain why it was put back on after doing the upgrades?
