I was running a property management company. We had 21 internet connections. 6 of them were transwered in to new owners by contacting Rogers by both myself and new owners and rest of them were cancelled by myself and sent all modems were sent back to Rogers without any dues.
For the the transferred connections, Rogers continued to do billing both the parties separately for using one service. And canceled connections, even after receiving the modems at Rogers office, they also billed.
Now I am getting threatening calls from collection agents saying that if I am not paying the bills (which are generated after transfer and cancellation) they are going to report to the credit bureau and my credit score will go down. They call me for one connection each, unfortunately I had 21 connections.
All the emails, I have received from Roger’s are Donotreplay. I have called Rogers plenty of times, spent 3 to 6 hours on each calls more than 15 times. They created case numbers, but they were no updates afterwards.
They are not provided any emails. The collection agencies are treating people by saying, if you go to a lawyer it’s $3000 and pay them $750 to settle the account. For normal people, to get out of the headache, they pay $750. Unfortunately it was a small property management company with 21 internet connections. What should I do?
