Cancelling my rogers plan

Javidm33
I've been here awhile
Hi there so I have been going back and forth with rogers to cancel my internet plan and apparently they are telling me no as I am in a contract?? When I first got the internet and mobile devices I asked them before I got any of it if there is a contract? They mentioned no there isn’t, yet now they are saying there is? I need help as I have called 5+ times rogers about this but they wont help even when I ask send me a copy of the contract I have signed they wont do it. This is unacceptable as i was a rogers customer for at least 8+ years… they have filled out a office of president form. Before i was talking to a gentleman named Ken from the head office of president saying he was able to help me yet now i don't have his extension number and cant even contact him..

if you were specifically told over the phone that you are signing up for a residential plan that is not under a contract then you would have received all the documentation emailed to you upon signup as well, the call would be recorded for quality and training purposes and you could have a manager retrieve that call and listen to the agent and if the agent specifically mentioned there is no contract then  you would be able to get  any early cancellation fees waived and if the agent still works for the company, the manager would then coach or  discipline the agent for misleading you if he told you no contract but signed you up for one.

Yes so heres the issue with that I specifically asked them to show me proof I have signed a contract/agreed to it they simply say no we don't have to do that (very fishy) I asked the manager on the helpline would not even contribute or take my word for it. I am just waiting on someone from office of president at the moment to help me out as one person contacted me named ken saying he can help me get out of the “contract” i am in but forgot to leave the extension number sadly.

@nellyadjami : No one is going to call you. You can contact Rogers in any of the ways outlined on the contact us link at the bottom of most Rogers pages, or you can PM the mods on this forum:

When logged into the forum, click on @CommunityHelps   .  On the page that comes up, you'll see a link near the top right of the screen to "send a message".  If you're using a tablet or phone, you may need to switch your browser to the desktop version. How to do that will depend on the device but a web search should find it.  There may be some back and forth required while Rogers get your personal information to look into your account.  Personal information is not allowed in this forum.

When logged into the forum, check the envelope icon at the top right of the screen for messages.  You would usually also receive an e-mail that you have a PM, but it may have ended up in your spam folder...

Hello nellyadjami,

57 is correct, no one is going to read this and call you back. To cancel your rogers service you have to call them and speak to an agent and cancel in person.  Just call them up and tell them you want to cancel.
