Account sent to Collections for Unreturned Modem

Nun_Raqs81
I've been around

I cancelled my cable in March with Rogers. Went into a Rogers store at Royal York/Bloor to return the modem and was advised they don't accept equipment there. We were given a box and told to contact customer service. We contacted customer service and were advised that they would send us shipping labels---we never got them and now recovered a letter from Collections for $345.88.

We did everything we could and now have my credit impacted?

Trying to call Rogers now and there is a 1.5-2hr wait time!! OMG!

This is insane! What will Rogers do to resolution this for me and clean up my credit?!

Good afternoon @Nun_Raqs81,

Welcome to the Community!

I understand how important it is to maintain a good credit history, I see that you had obtained contact info for the Credit Operations team via private message. Have you had a chance to get in touch with the team?

Please let us know if you still require assistance with this.

It takes a few months minimum for your account to be sent to collections. Once your account is sent to collections. That means Rogers has sold your debt to another company to be collected in exchange for significantly less than the actual debt.
