I have 2 new Amazon Fire Stick 4K Max. Tried to set both up this week. Tried to download Rogers Xfinity App (Red background - not Shaw) and get a message “unavailable”. When I check compatibility, I get a message device is compatible. I see in the forum many others seem to be having the same issue since the beginning of 2025. I even tried purchasing the app on the Amazon store, then syncing the fire stick with the Amazon store and was still unsuccessful.
Can you please help? Thank you

After 1 hour on the phone with Xfinity Support, then 2 1/2 hours with Amazon support and finally another 1 hour with Rogers Xfinity support this week, the Rogers Xfinity App is available. I downloaded on both my new Fire Stick 4K Max’s. Working great! Thanks for all the comments and replies.

Everyone is having this issue, but Rogers has yet to acknowledge it.

To me Its clear they don't allow it to work on a firestick for Rogers customers in order to rent the boxes out for $15/month.

But they did for a month or so during December. Something has changed in the last week or so. I bought a new Firestick and I installed this app on Dec 27.

For those that installed this app in Dec, are you able to download recordings from the cloud for offline viewing? That functionality is listed as a product feature as per the app store but appears to be missing from the menus.

Just signed my mother up two days ago and was specifically directed by Sales to use a Fire TV Stick instead of renting a box.

Yes, and Sales said 'save the $17 rental on second box and use our app on FireTV Stick instead'

Same here, just two days ago had a Rogers employee specifically recommend buying an Amazon Fire Stick to replace my rented entertainment box i was looking to return due to the rental price hike.
now that I have the FireStick it looks like the Rogers app cant be downloaded in 2025. Do better Rogers, get this fixed and stop being sketchy

Hi... I have recently purchased two fire sticks. Downloaded the Rogers App and had them both up and running in a few minutes - was actually quite simple. Also - was able to access anything which was previously recorded. I rent 4 boxes - so now that I have confirmed that this works, I am going to return 3 of them and save $30 a month. It is NOT exact same interface as with the boxes, however works great.

If anyone has the Fire Stick 4K (1st generation), can you check if the cc functionality is working correctly?
For mine, I find that after I've turned it on and wait till the overlay (that you get when you press ENTER) disappeared, I could no longer control cc if I press ENTER twice. Instead, it will PAUSE (and the STOP (square symbol) in the middle of the screen will turn into PLAY (right pointing triangle). The only way for me to bring back the Player Control popup is to return to the program title and come back in again. The cycle then repeats.
I do not have this issue on my newer Fire Stick and Fire Stick HD.
