Rogers Ignite Remote

Just got Rogers ignite TV, just wanted to ask the remote seems to light up just by touching/ moving it. Is there a way to turn this function off?

No, not that I know of.  I also searched the Internet for "disable xfinity voice remote backlight" and "disable xr15 backlight" to see what might come up:

Unfortunately, both of those posts got official responses and neither support team knew of any way to configure or customize the behaviour of the backlight either.

Thanks for trying . Just hoping there was a solution cause I have one remote that seems to not light up until I push the buttons while the other lights up when I pick it up or swing it around, any motion and it lights.
