For the past several months I lose connectivity when watching TV especially another app almost daily. It's very frustrating. I always have to disconnect from the Gateway and reboot it. Last time my remote stopped working properly too.

I can absolutely understand why this experience would be frustrating.
When this happens, do you notice if there's any change to the light pattern on the top of your modem? Does it change colours or start blinking?
Is your remote still giving you issues? I'd first check the battery level.
