Will receiving MMS while roaming trigger roam like home?

Will roam like home be triggered for receiving MMS while roaming using the settings below?

Android - Google Pixel 8 Pro

Under the Rogers eSim:

  • Disable Roaming (conect to data services when roaming)
  • Disable Mobile Data (access data while using mobile network
    • Once Mobile Data is disabled, a toggle appears for MMS messages (send & receive when mobile data is off) which is enabled

My thinking is that because Rogers mobile data and roaming is disabled, any data required for receiving MMS would be used from either wi-fi (when connected) or a secondary SIM with data enabled, and therefore roam like home will not be triggered. Is this correct?

@mm1111 : Please see the following recent post and the links in that post if you wish to ensure that you will not be charged for roaming:

Outside of using Airplane mode or turning off your phone (neither of which you probably wish to do) the tips outlined in the above links are the only way to ensure no roaming charges. Changing various settings in the phone may still result in roaming because certain apps can override phone settings and cause connections to a foreign cell tower.  What you can do is remove the Rogers SIM or disable it if it's an eSIM or ask Rogers to turn off Roam LIke Home.
