Will a global version phone work with the Rogers network?

AlbertYao
I've been here awhile

I'm thinking of getting a global version phone. It has the following band support:

5G BAND

NSA: n1, n3, n5, n7, n8, n28, n38, n40, n41, n77, n78, n79 SA: n1, n3, n7, n8, n28, n40, n41, n77, n78, n79.

Will it work on the Rogers 5G network?

Hello, @AlbertYao.

Welcome to Rogers Community, and thank you for posting your query.

The phone you are thinking of purchasing may not be a good choice; it seems it has only one of the supported bands, n78. Please check our support article to know all the supported bands and the other requirements of purchasing a non-Rogers device.

All the best!

Cheers,

RogersMoin

It also support n41 in addition to n78. So the phone will have 5G only in area where 41 and 78 available?

Re: Will a global version phone work with the Rogers network?

Not necessarily, @AlbertYao...

There may be situations where you have no 5G signal whatsoever because we can't guarantee that every single 5G tower has n41 and n78 available at this time.

I would not personally recommend buying any device for use on the Rogers network unless it supports absolutely all the bands we use.

Regards,

RogersCorey
