Cityfone to Rogers EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY

The transfer seems to be complete with my old wireless # transferred over. My phone says it is connected to the Rogers 5G network and downloaded the Rogers App automatically to my phone.

Unfortunately, my phone is in EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY since then. This is the case with both the Rogers SIM and the old Cityfone SIM card. Since I cannot use my phone to call or text Rogers, how do I get this fixed? HELP.

You should still be able to call 611 from your Rogers SIM, even if it isn't active. Have you tried powering off your device for a few minutes to see if it refreshes the connection to the network and allows the SIM to activate?

Did you try powering off the phone for a bit and try powering it back on?

sometimes this may be needed to provision the sim card to authenticate.

sometimes you also may need to go into the network scan menu and manually select the rogers network operator to force the phone to connect too.
