Hi @tutu22,

Thank you for your first post and welcome to the Rogers Community Forums!

That is a great question you have brought up! You’ll have access to view 18 months of bill history online when you log into your My Rogers account. If you're looking to get invoices older than 18 months, you will need to get in touch with us to have those reprinted and sent out to you.

Feel free to send us a private message to @CommunityHelps so we can assist you further. For more information on how our Private Messaging system works, please check out our blog.

How far back can rogers go? Curious as to how long this information is stored for.

Hi Jermaine at Rogers. You FAILED to mention ROGERS charges $20 per invoice/bill requested older then 18 months. That's a hefty price to pay. BELL provides three full years and free reprints older. Talk about squeezing your customers.

You can avoid this problem, but it requires you to do planning, patience and persistence. You would have login to myRogers and download the pdf invoices every time they are generated and store them somewhere safe and secure like your hard drive or cloud storage.  Or even better, you can also print them out too and file them away in a filing cabinet or with your other important documents.

I happened to do this and have records that date back over 10 years ago.  It's unfortunate that online billing was forced upon todays generation,  the older generation had it easy as we had print copies of all our bills and they never expired, but with the switch to digital and online billing, the onice is always on the customer to do their part and save your invoices.

When Rogers migrated to online billing, they charged $2 for anyone that continued to receive paper bills. They basically forced customers to go to online billing. Then Rogers removed that option for paperbilling. Customers did not ask for online billing. Regardless, customers have to download and/or print (at our expenses) so we don't loose the the ability to go back further than eighteen months. So why do us as customers, have "to do planning, patience and persistence" according to you? We pay these very high fees for these services, the least Rogers can do is provide five years of pdf's available. Income tax act says you are supposed to. You do, again for a $20 fee per month. This is not user friendly for your customers. Rogers is asking a lot from their customers don't you think? Over at BELL...THREE years are available AND if you require anything older: FREE! Guess where I am taking my business?

Just as an FYI, if you are a senior or someone with certain disabilities it is possible to contact Rogers and arrange for a paper bill.

Hello Crow421, to answer  your question, even though I was with rogers for a LONG time and received paper invoices since day one,  as soon as the option for me to sign up for online self service became available, I jumped on it and every time an invoice was available, I went out of my way to login and download it to my C:\ Drive.   No one told me to do this except myself.  I had a habit of doing this since day one.  Then a few years ago, everyone was forced to online billing,  guess what? nothing really changed for me as I was already in the habit of doing this.  I guess being a small business owner in my past helped me understand the importance of record keeping.   The only thing that really changed is they stopped mailing the paper invoice some years ago, but it did not bother me, as I was already in the habit of saving my invoices to my C: Drive.

Im not a small business owner. Not everyone has the shoe box mentality in keeping bills physically or electronically. What I do know that IF a customer requires some bills that are only less than two years old, they should not be CHARGED $20 per month! That's a racket. Download and save. What about computers and memory drives that fail? Lost? Crash? Damaged? Paper bills lost in water damage? Fires? Moving and lost boxes? So lets call rogers and explain any of the above I just suggested and BANG! $20 per month. For an electronic task that costs nothing. ROGERS is squeezing their customers and everyone on this forum pretends its ok.

Just an FYI you cannot have internet to utilize this option. Here is the REAL info from Rogers web site on paper billing..in the future disclose ALL the facts:

Rogers is going paperless. If you are 65 years or older, do not have internet or a wireless data plan, or have accessibility needs, please contact us to have paper bills mailed to you.

Whats your reply to this?

That's exactly why one should keep their records in more than one place, preferably one off-site.

I back up my hard drive to another hard drive that I keep elsewhere in the home and also back up to a thumb drive that I keep off site.  That way you're covered for any eventuality like fire, theft, device failure, etc.  The cloud is another option for those who use it.  My devices like iPhone and iPad are backed up to my computer, which is backed up as indicated above.

back when paper bills were the only option, and I never had a self serve login, I actually took the time to actually scan my invoices and store them digitally on external hard drive and cloud storage, why? because I was obligated to keep a copy of my records,  No one told me to do this except myself, my own intuition and ambition told me to do it.

I too was affected by losing precious bank statements, cellphone invoices and other important documents, when I was younger, however I am glad I was able to recover them.

There were times when I was not able to get my rogers invoices mailed to me, those were because of 2 reasons, the canada post delivery agent delivered to wrong address and the other time rogers actually printed the wrong civic address on my invoice for who knows why and it was not delivered. for those times, I was very happy to order reprints from rogers, yes I paid, and I did call them back at a later time and discuss compensation for what I felt was not my fault and they were happy to credit me those 2 times,
