If you do a web search for speed tests and click on any of the results, almost all of them use Ookla. For example, at the bottom of the Rogers Speed test page, it says:

All trademarks of Ookla, LLC, including Speedtest®, are used under license.

I do not know why the Rogers Website (link below) differs for @hiho , because I find all of the speedtest websites provide very similar results for me - say within 10% of each other.

https://www.rogers.com/support/internet/basic-internet-speedtest

I'll tag @-G- to see if he has any suggestions.

One test site that is an outlier is https://fast.com/  which provides a number that is way too high. For example, most of my results are 1.2-1.4 Gbps, whereas Fast says 3.1 Gbps.  (I'm on Rogers 500/30 plan and I consider myself lucky to have these sorts of speeds due to SpeedBoost).

As an FYI, if you're experiencing a slower than expected speed there are several possible reasons as outlined in the following link:

Works perfectly fine for me.  (Ignite (Cable) 1.5 Gigabit Internet)

For comparison, here are my results with Ookla and Waveform's Bufferbloat test:

For me, Fast reports 2.8 Gbps, which is impossible because my hardware can't even go that fast.
