Service Interruption?

I've been around

sorry to complain on Christmas Eve about something so trivial as outage of internet. I know this is expected in a storm but the lack of communication from Rogers is unacceptable. I am struggling to find updates or conformation that there is an outage is L9W area. I signed into a community forum and can not find anything on here either. I even tried to get a Twitter account to find any information and I have not. if I go the bell website it says on the landing page that there is an outage. But rogers no. I will post this and then I have a feeling I will not be able to find any tags afterwards. My post will be lost in the internet sea of lost souls. So frustrated.

Also without anything here in N0L area I've contacted chat multiple times today, it's being worked on yada yada was told be back on by 6pm it's now after 9 last time I had someone on chat it's showing a fiber line was cut and that's the issue......very frustrating been without since 11am yet my landline is working and my mother in law whom lives ten feet away from us and also with Rogers has been up since early afternoon makes zero sense......so your not alone chin up lol

My whole neighborhood is out since the 23rd. No updates. No public acknowledgment. That outage link and the Anna chatbot just infuriates me since they don’t even acknowledge the problems in areas that’s been reported by many of us. My poor neighbour had everything on Rogers including phone. I only have internet and only because Bell can’t offer anything more than 50mps in my area (steeles and Kennedy in Markham, not the middle of nowhere).

I will have to suck it up and just go with the slower Bell service instead of no service.

That's more than what Rogers gives you. So yes, that's open.

What color light is it flashing......after about five chats I finally got someone that knew what they were doing my modem had factory reset and was sitting in limbo waiting to be setup......I did the following steps and it working now
1. Open the Ignite WiFi app.2. Sign in using your MyRogers credentials.3. From the Overview tab – Select “View Network Details”4. Tap the Pencil Icon on the top right corner5. Update your WiFi network name & Password as desired. 6. Then press Apply Changes

Yellow was flashing. I don’t use the builtin wifi, so that won’t even matter.  Modem seems to get IPv6 address but nothing on WAN IPv4. It comes online for a bit and then dies.

It’s back this morning but let see if it holds. Speed is less than half of what it should be but getting any connection at all is better than nothing.
