sorry to complain on Christmas Eve about something so trivial as outage of internet. I know this is expected in a storm but the lack of communication from Rogers is unacceptable. I am struggling to find updates or conformation that there is an outage is L9W area. I signed into a community forum and can not find anything on here either. I even tried to get a Twitter account to find any information and I have not. if I go the bell website it says on the landing page that there is an outage. But rogers no. I will post this and then I have a feeling I will not be able to find any tags afterwards. My post will be lost in the internet sea of lost souls. So frustrated.

My whole neighborhood is out since the 23rd. No updates. No public acknowledgment. That outage link and the Anna chatbot just infuriates me since they don’t even acknowledge the problems in areas that’s been reported by many of us. My poor neighbour had everything on Rogers including phone. I only have internet and only because Bell can’t offer anything more than 50mps in my area (steeles and Kennedy in Markham, not the middle of nowhere).
I will have to suck it up and just go with the slower Bell service instead of no service.

Yellow was flashing. I don’t use the builtin wifi, so that won’t even matter. Modem seems to get IPv6 address but nothing on WAN IPv4. It comes online for a bit and then dies.
It’s back this morning but let see if it holds. Speed is less than half of what it should be but getting any connection at all is better than nothing.
