I've been using Rogers for many years and started to have various issues since this year - cable broken due to area fiber construction, no signals (at least 3 times in this July), and slow spinning when watching streaming videos. Last Friday I called Rogers technician and was suprisingly told that my model showed "down" status while mine is up running in "solid green" light, very concerning that sth is not right... After an on-site technician checked and confirmed nothing major, I surprisingly learned from Rogers Cx support that my unlimited 500 mbps internet package will get a reduced speed (about 10mbps?...) when data usage over 500gb. I know Rogers infinite mobile plan has this policy, but never know throttling also applies to Rogers Cable internet. This is not clearly stated in the contract and it is a really bad experience nowadays that home internet got dropped speed without knowing to watch for data usage.
I am sharing this hoping customers starts to know this before deciding Roger internet package and offers.
