Rogers Holding Us Hostage

Renell
I plan to stick around

Nothing has worked since install on Feb 3.
Internet, TV, Home Phone.

Switched to Bell but they can’t install because Rogers holds the home phone number and they need a bypass authorization to port it over.

Called Rogers and was transferred twice. Waited 2.5 hours and then call was ended saying “we’re busy, leave a message”.

We’re literally being held hostage.

@Renell  Rogers cannot legally prevent you from cancelling your service or delay the cancellation.  However, if you are under a 2-year contract, you will face an early cancellation fee if you do not cancel your service within the first 30 days.

If your service has been unusable and Rogers' support teams have been unable to rectify the problem, you should be able to get the ECF waived and get the port-out for your Home Phone authorized.  If you cannot reach an agent on the telephone, try sending a private message to @CommunityHelps .

You need to take your next steps carefully, to avoid the ECF and to ensure that your Home Phone service gets ported out successfully, and to ensure that no "accidents" happen that result in you losing your phone number.
