Networking two CODA-4582U together on the same wifi

I've been here awhile

I have two CODA-4582U modems from Rogers and i want to use the second modem as a wifi repeater. Can i do this?

Probably not.  If the modems are both connected to RG-6 feed cables, that implies that they are both in service with different (?) accounts. 

 

If the second modem isn't connected to an RG-6 feed cable, I don't believe it will boot properly as it won't be able to download the boot file from the CMTS, can't remember the exact file name at the moment, but, without it, the modem is a brick.

Thank you @Datalink for the reply. Does this mean i won't be able to bridge this modem either(same thing?)?

@rehal83  as long as the modem's can boot and run normally in Gateway mode, you can change the operating mode and run them in Bridge mode.
