IPv6 Settings for ASUS RT-AX58U

JunkJunk
I've been here awhile

Hello all.

I have changed the CGM4331COM to Bridge Mode and have set my ASUS RT-AX58U to router mode.  All seems well.

Would someone please be able to help me with the IPv6 settings?  I'm not sure if my connection type should be NATIVE or PASSTHROUGH?

If NATIVE;

   -should DHCP-PD be enabled?

   -should my Auto Configuration Setting be STATELESS?

   -should I Connect to DNS Server Automatically or specify DNS servers?

   -should I Enable Router Advertisement?

If PASSTHROUGH?;

   -should I Connect to DNS Server Automatically or specify DNS servers?

   -is my Firewall bypassed?

Are there other settings I should be aware of?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

@JunkJunk this is an old post now, but, it still does the job.  Scroll down to the Asus router settings:

When you've changed the settings as required, reboot the router so that the IPV6 prefix is assigned by the Cable Modem Termination System (CMTS).

Note:  If the modem is still running in Gateway mode, log in to the modem using another browser tab or thru the app, and get ready to change the modems operating mode from Gateway to Bridge mode.  When the settings in the router are ready to go, change the modem's operating mode to Bridge mode, and when that has started, reboot the router so that it picks up the IPV6 prefix from the CMTS.
