I am not able to connect certain website using rogers ignite gateway

tusharthakar89
I've been around

I am trying to access some website but I am not able to access is when connected to the Roger Xfinity Ignite Gateway Wi-Fi network.

I can access the same site using the mobile data but not able to use that website when connected to the Wi-Fi Gateway which ever connected to Wi-Fi.

Do you have Advanced Security enabled?  If so, try disabling it.  The feature can break web sites and block access to sites.

What browser are you using and have you checked to make sure the settings aren't preventing the site from loading? Are you running any ad and or script blockers? Have you tried more than one device that is connected to the Rogers modem to rule out it being something specific to the devuce?

I remember a few years ago, there were a few sites that a user was trying to access.  (they were Chinese, not that it makes a big difference other than maybe why they were not updating quickly?).
Ended up that when you found the IP of the site while mobile resolved differently than via the internet.

Like the DNS listing it was looking up, was not updated with the same values at the time?

Some DNS servers also can include ad and site blocking. I don't know anyone that uses the default Rogers DNS. Most of my friends use Google. I use Quad9. A few use AdGuard, etc.

If the previously listed tips don't help, here's another set of tips if you have issues with certain websites:
