I have issue with my XB8 and need to replace the modem that its not available.
Technician telling me they can't downgrade XB8 to XB7!!
Anyone here seen this issue and know how to get around it?
Rogers tech support is clueless and and hoping someone with access to backend rogers can PM me or contact me to get this resolved.

So senior technician was able to swap XB8 for XB7 and service is back.
I wish this was done 3 days ago

@seadooxp30 Just out of curiosity, what issues were you seeing with the XB8 and what specifically made you want to downgrade to the XB7?

On Sunday got error on my ignite TV (Disconnected error) after that internet issue started too (rebooting XB8 by itself/) and got to the point that XB8 disconnects every 15 to 20 min!
Since XB8 is only available to Rogers customers with Fibre to home, they couldn't get me the replacement (I'm in Richmond Hill).
I work from home so need the internet and told Rogers to downgrade to whatever is available.
Than I was told that its not possible to downgrade!!
Had to escalate and after 3 days of no internet finally got it resolved today.
Keep that in mind if you ever need to replace yours...
