TV Channels Don't Show in Full Screen on the Ignite TV Mobile App

Is there a setting that I need to change? I've tried on iOS and Android and both show the picture with bars on both sides.

Welcome to the Community and thank you for your post :).

Ignite TV App is a convenient way to keep up with the shows on tho go. I just tried live TV and a recorded show on my iPhone and I wasn't able to replicate the same on my end. I played the shows with the rotation locked and unlocked. Would you be able to share a screenshot of your device with the bars please? 

Have you noticed the same bars appear on the browser too?

Anyone else in the Community experience something similar?

Just a quick question, are you watching the ignite tv on your smart phone in landscape orientation? and if so, are you watching a TV channel that is 16x9 aspect or a tv channel that is 4x3 aspect? also a good thing to know, most newer smart phones these days are no longer 16x9, they are more 18x9 aspect, so when watching a 16x9 program there will be small black bars on the sides

if u have any screen shot can you share with us? that would be great

Thanks for the feedback folks.  Landscape model shows full screen once I  set auto-rotate on on my pixel2
